Video Game Bathing

Bathing your pets is a mechanic.

In each town, Shantae can visit bath houses to restore her health by jumping into the bathwater, she still wears her clothes.

After defeating Ammo Barren, there is a cut scene where Shantae goes home and decides to take a bubble bath in the clawfoot slipper bathtub she sees in her house. As she is already bathing in the tub she suddenly comes to the realization that she doesn't own a bathtub and the tub ends up trapping her in place and Risky Boots shows up revealing it was a trap. Risky somehow transports the tub with Shantae still bathing in it to Mimic's lab to show Shantae a Cacklebat and then let's her out of the tub and get dressed so she can fight it. Throughout the rest of the game, Shantae can go to the Scuttle Town bath house and jump into the bathwater still clothed to restore her health.

Shantae can also bathe in her animal transformations. After defeating Hypno Baron and Squid Baron, Shantae will say that when returns home she is going to take a long hot bath. Right before the final stage, Hypno Baron will be found standing in the bath house.

Risky Boots will take bubble baths in a clawfoot slipper bathtub that is in her ship's cabin during the menu between each level. The background, concept art, and earlier designs of this bathing area can be unlocked and seen in the main games art gallery.
